Management Interventions, Inc., serves on the ORC Macro
team, which has been contracted by the Corporation for
National and Community Service (CNCS) to analyze and
evaluate their program activities with faith-based organizations.
Management Interventions' primary responsibilities include
developing research methodologies and tools for gathering
data, facilitating focus groups, conducting surveys,
analyzing data, developing case study reports, and assisting
in developing general research reports.

Jersey Construction Disparity Study-Data Collection

Management Interventions, Inc., serves on the Mason
Tillman Associates team, which has been commissioned
by the State of New Jersey to conduct a disparity study
to determine whether or not there was underutilization
of minority and women contractors on State construction
contracts from 2000–2002. Management Interventions'
primary responsibilities include developing data collection
protocols; collecting contracting data from state departments
and authorities; conducting phone surveys and interviews;
and coordinating and facilitating public hearings. For

Community-Based Abstinence Education Project Grant

Management Interventions, Inc., serves as a strategic
consultant to “Winners Wait,” a federally
funded entitlement program legislated under the Welfare
Reform Act of 1996, providing abstinence–only
education to adolescent populations and their families
in Essex County, New Jersey. A program operated by Impact
Community Development Corporation (ICDC), the goals
of “Winners Wait” are to prevent pregnancy,
reduce the spread of infectious diseases, and curb risky
behavior that adversely effects adolescents and their
communities. Management Interventions’ primary
responsibilities include developing research methodologies
and tools for gathering data from participants; creating
a comprehensive incentive structure for program participation;
co-facilitating focus groups; assisting in developing
general research reports; creating an interactive website;

Depalma team, which is heading the $100M redevelopment
of the transportation infrastructure in the port district
of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Management Interventions'

public outreach to all community stakeholders including
residents, business owners, contractors, and public
officials; stakeholder database creation; sub-contractor
pre-qualification process; web-based newsletter design

Construction Opportunities Program for Employment (SCOPE)
Outreach Initiative

Details: Management Interventions, Inc. is conducting
outreach and recruitment for the City of Trenton's SCOPE
program. This program is aimed at assisting minorities
and women from the city of Trenton, New Jersey, with
obtaining membership in local trade unions. Participants
undergo twelve weeks of trades training offered through
Mercer County Vocational School and receive mentoring
and coaching to prepare for union examination in the
trade of their choice. Participants must be at least
18 years of age, reside in the City of Trenton, and
have a valid driver's license. For more information,

Apprenticeship Readiness in Elizabeth (CARE) –
Outreach and Quality Assurance

Management Interventions, Inc. is the Lead Consultant
to the City of Elizabeth’s Department of Planning
and Community Development in the establishment and maintenance
of the "Construction Apprenticeship Readiness in
Elizabeth," or "CARE" program, in the
City of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Management Interventions’
primary responsibilities include providing oversight
for project reporting and performance management. Funding
for CARE is provided by the New Jersey Schools Construction
Corporation and is administered through the New Jersey

Compliance Initiative

Details: Management Interventions, Inc. is working,
in conjunction with Skanska USA Building, Inc. and the
New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation, to provide
bi-lingual community involvement and outreach services
to key stakeholders in targeted communities. The purpose
of this program is to identify and pre-qualify small,
minority, and women-owned firms for school construction
sub-contracting opportunities in Garfield and Passaic,
New Jersey. By participating in this program, qualified
firms are eligible to participate in subcontracting
opportunities on varied school projects in the Garfield

County One Stop Career Center: Community Outreach and
Job Retention

Details: Management Interventions Inc., is conducting
outreach, recruitment, and job retention services for
the Mercer County Career Center consumers. The purpose
of this program is to prepare TANF populations with
the necessary tools and skills to become and remain
self sufficient. Utilizing a bi-lingual service approach,
this model incorporates culturally relevant and sensitive
recruitment strategies that emphasize eliminating barriers,
providing supportive service information, case-management
assistance, and fostering linkages with other providers
to facilitate individual skill development and self
sufficiency.

Management Interventions, Inc., is contracted by Parsons
Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas, Inc., to provide guidance
on outreach to minority and low-income community organizations
in New Jersey for the purpose of assisting with the
establishment of policy and procedure for the New Jersey
Department of Transportation's Community Impact Assessment
(CIA) Unit. The policy will articulate the CIA mission
and identify recommended procedures for conducting CIAs,
thereby strengthening implementation of CIAs for transportation
projects statewide. The policy will include best practices
recommendations for engaging communities in the assessment
process, with attention to practices for identifying
and engaging Environmental Justice (EJ) Communities.

"Community Solutions Leadership Breakfast Forum"

Details: This forum will lead to working solutions for
increased access to funding and development resources
and partnerships for faith- and community-based organizations.
Guided panel discussions with faith- and community-based
organizational leaders will explore ways to decrease
the economic and social disparity in the City of Camden.
Panelists will include representatives from private
and public charitable organizations, the White House
Office of Faith-based and Community Initiatives, and
the National Centers for Faith-based and Community Initiatives.
